Mary Lou Kersten, owner and principal licensed broker, lives with her family in Hillsdale.  With 24+ years of real estate experience in listing and selling country properties, Mary Lou is very knowledgeable about the region. She is an active member of the community having served on the Town of Hillsdale Planning Board, Hillsdale Hamlet committee, active volunteer for the Roeliff Jansen Community Library, member of the Friends group and former board member of the Clarion Society.  Professionally she served as President of the Columbia Greene Board of Realtors  and  continues on the board of the Multiple Listing Service. She is the 2003 and 2004 recipient of the Columbia Greene Realtor of the Year award and selected to the REALTORS Honor Society by the New York State Association of Realtors.  Mary Lou is also licensed in Massachusetts.  She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and is listed in Who's Who of American Women. Mary Lou is married to Chris Kersten. Their daughter Hilary attends Fordham University. She and her family love to travel and in 2010 toured Vienna, Salzburg, Prague and the Southern Bohemia countryside touring UNESCO world heritage sites in the Czech Republic. Her "other" little girl is her mini dachsund, Remy.
